Earth Day = Earth Week

Chelsea Flea Market

As you know, Earth Day was celebrated on April 22nd. We hope it was filled with appreciation and giving back to this planet we call home. If you’re still looking for ways to be earth friendly today and year-round be sure to visit the Hell’s Kitchen Farm Project. This rooftop farm is equipped with raised beds to sustain plants and vegetables that feed the community. There are so many ways to get involved but here are a few.

  1. Volunteer: Play in the dirt again and get out your green thumb! Every Thursday & Saturday from 10am to 1pm, roll up your sleeves and help maintain the plants and vegetables at the expansive garden located on the rooftop of Metro Baptist Church in Hell’s Kitchen.
  2. Donate: If you’re looking for a great local cause to give to, look no further. The HK Farm Project is supported by the community and gives generously to the community. Your funds will help build this aspect of the community and feed people in need.
  3. CSA: Stock up on fresh produce each week and join your fellow Hell's Kitchen neighbors.
