We’re gearing up for the holidays at the Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market! The new vendors signing on for the holiday season are the perfect addition to our favorite regulars. Last weekend we welcomed groups of visitors from Denmark and Ireland—and they found incredible bargains on jackets, shoes, and all sorts of collectibles including political buttons and posters from New York’s past—apropos of the season. We’re expecting more jewelry designers this weekend, along with vintage vinyl dealers and of course—vintage fashion. You never know what treasures await.
Look for our Holiday Gift Guide Next Week! We’re putting together a complete guide to the most wonderful, unique (and did we mention affordable?) gifts shoppers can find at the Hell’s Kitchen Flea. From original jewelry designs to handcrafted Turkish earthquake balls for good luck and handmade pillow covers and throws from India, the flea is a one-stop holiday shopping destination.
Adorable Adoptions. One of the newest—and surely the cutest—additions to the Hell’s Kitchen Flea is the Free Korean Dogs group, an organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from the meat trade in Korea and bringing them to New York for adoption. These gorgeous little creatures seem to know how lucky they are because they are calm, great with other pets and kids, and generally awesome little companions. They’ll be making appearances at the flea throughout the holiday season.

Don’t Forget the Hell’s Kitchen Foundation Application Deadline We’re heading into the home stretch as the application deadline for the foundation's visual arts grants program approaches. The Hell’s Kitchen Foundation will be accepting applications from local artists until December 2nd. We’re committed to nurturing and celebrating the tradition of working artists on the West Side—so please encourage the artists in your life to visit our Website to learn more.
Judy Negron's Open Studio. If you visit the flea this Sunday, you may want to stop by the studio of one of our finest local artists too, while you're in the neighborhood. Judy Negron, a Hell's Kitchen Foundation grantee, will be holding an Open Studio to demonstrate her mosaic art from 1-5 this Sunday, November 13. For more information, email Judy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
